In October of 2019, Russell and Christa tied the knot at the Church of Christ the Light in Oakland, and then held the reception in the Berkeley Country Club. Their wedding was absolutely memorable and beautiful!
We started at the Oakland Marriott City Center, where Russell and Christa stayed the night before. When we got there, the girls were well on their way to finishing the make up and hair ahead of schedule. Christa booked this really unique, corner room that gave us some amazing light to work with! We hopped around from Russell’s room to Christa’s room to take photos of the details and prep. It was such a blast photographing their big entourage of groomsmen and bridesmaids.
After some final touch ups, they were ready to head to the Church of Christ the Light, where they would officially tie the knot in front of their friends and families. The grandeur of this church was jaw-dropping! The architecture and design were just so unique that we spent more time than usual taking photos of a venue.
Now officially husband and wife, Russell and Christa took the party to the Berkeley Country Club! The venue and the decorations were incredible. In addition, Russell and Christa purposely closed the venue to guests while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. By doing that, they were able to walk around freely and appreciate the fine detail all by themselves.
