Tsakopoulos Library Galleria Wedding

I consider Donovan and Julie a power couple — they possess a strong emotional bond, are successful and independent, and are surrounded by people who respect them. They share their love for sports (Sacramento KINGS!), delicious food, quality time with loved ones, and a particularly strong pride of the booming Sacramento City. On this beautiful Thursday, they said “YES” to each other at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in Downtown Sacramento.

Julie and the girls got ready at Kimpton The Sawyer Hotel in the morning. When I entered their room, it was an area of zen (at least compared to most getting ready rooms I’ve been to!). Everyone was calm, Jhené Aiko was playing in the background, and everything was well organized (dresses were hung and shoes were placed neatly under). It was incredible. That set the tone for the rest of the wedding day.

Not much later, Donovan and the groomsmen arrived at the lobby of the hotel, and I began orchestrating the first look. The Sawyer Hotel has such a beautiful vibe — tall ceiling, long stairways, a gorgeous outdoor pool with the view of Downtown Sacramento. We decided it was best to use the pool area for the first look… and SO GLAD we did! The lighting was perfect, and we had an amazing view.

Afterwards, the entire bridal party walked to the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, which was only a few blocks away. Similar to the hotel, Tsakopoulos Library Galleria had tall ceilings and impressive architectural feats. Donovan and Julie held the ceremony and reception inside the library galleria.
