Is it a theme park? Is it a university? No, it’s the Facebook HQ campus!

Nelson and Janet invited me to the Facebook Headquarter to shoot a laid-back engagement session back in June. Nelson is a software engineer at Facebook, so he knows the nooks and crannies of the FB campus. Located at 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, the FB campus boasts multiple restaurants, a decked-out arcade, a retro-styled ice cream parlor, a REDWOOD FOREST in a rooftop garden (*mind shatters*), and many more mind blowing amenities. Needless to say, it was a fantastic choice for an engagement session!

At the time, Nelson and Janet already had a beautiful engagement session done with their wedding photographer, but they also wanted a more casual and fun shoot. The shoot was a breeze because it was a slow paced and stress free session. We started at the main campus, worked our way from the beginning to the end, then proceeded to wrap it up at the rooftop garden in golden hour. We couldn’t be happier with the results — natural, playful, romantic photos.

Most of my clients over think about where they should take their engagement photos, or what they should wear. While is it important to look your best, it is equally as important to incorporate into the engagement shoot things that represent you! After all, the engagement session is about showcasing your love for one another.
